Qingdao | 3 days 4 nights
Coast, old-town atmosphere, and signature cultural stops — a steady first-map of Qingdao.

First-time visitors often recognize Qingdao instantly and still feel surprised: it is both a seaside getaway and a historic port city with lived-in streets.
Zhanqiao, Badaguan, May Fourth Square, Laoshan, beer, and seafood are famous names. The real question is how to connect them without turning the trip into a rush.
This itinerary keeps daily anchors light — two or three highlights — and tries to return to the waterfront by evening whenever possible.

Do not travel far on arrival day. After check-in, start at Zhanqiao for the most reliable first impression of Qingdao’s coastline and classic skyline.
Go early or late to avoid tour-bus peaks. The pier is free; leave time for sea breeze and photos, then wander toward Zhongshan Road and the cathedral area.
Address:Near Taiping Road, Shinan District, Qingdao
Hours:Open all day (avoid midday tour peaks)
Transport:About 10–15 min walk from Metro Line 3, Renmin Huichang Station

Slow down on day two. Badaguan’s tree-lined avenues and villa architecture are best experienced on foot, not as a checklist of buildings.
Continue toward Second Bathing Beach in the afternoon, then finish at May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center for dusk and lights.
Address:Badaguan area, Shinan District, Qingdao
Hours:Streets are free; individual interiors may vary
Transport:Metro Lines 2/3, Huiquan Square Station

Give Laoshan a full day. The “No.1 coastal mountain” offers a completely different scale from city waterfront walks. Choose a well-supported route if you prefer lighter hiking.
Address:Laoshan District, Qingdao
Hours:Check same-day notices
Transport:Tourist / city buses from downtown; allow round-trip time

On departure morning, the Tsingtao Beer Museum is an easy, memorable close. If time remains, take a short coastal walk and let the trip decelerate.
Most first-visit regrets come from overpacking days. Buffer time usually creates a more complete Qingdao memory than one extra stop.
Address:56 Dengzhou Road, Shibei District, Qingdao
Hours:Confirm opening hours on the day
Transport:Metro/bus access to the Dengzhou Road area
Qingdao’s coastlines and shaded streets keep their own unhurried rhythm. May this editor’s pick help your first visit feel complete — not just photographed.
